IKEA
I worked as a Graphic Communication Associate at IKEA East Palo Alto, where I brought IKEA's visual brand identity to life through the creation, production, and installation of both print and digital graphics. My work ensured cohesive and impactful visual storytelling throughout the store, enhancing the customer experience and reinforcing brand recognition.

20-Year Anniversary Visual Identity
In 2023, IKEA East Palo Alto celebrated its 20th anniversary with a series of in-store activities and events for customers and co-workers. I had the opportunity to design the commemorative logo for this milestone. Drawing inspiration from IKEA’s iconic products, I incorporated the STRANDMON armchair, the LACK side table, and our signature blue FRAKTA shopping bag as central elements. To capture the celebratory spirit, I added festive details like number balloons and traditional balloons, symbolizing the joy of this occasion.
Seeing my design come to life on banners throughout the store, button pins for co-workers, and even a celebratory cake was incredibly rewarding and underscored the impact of thoughtful design in enhancing brand moments.
Lunar New Year
In 2023, the IKEA Asian+ Co-worker Resource Group invited me to design the Lunar New Year graphics for all U.S. stores—a project that was both an honor and a creative challenge. To ensure inclusivity for all Asian communities, I needed to incorporate two zodiac animals: the rabbit and the cat. After exploring various concepts and iterations, I created a design featuring the rabbit and the cat gracefully leaping in front of a moon-like shape, symbolizing the first new moon of the lunar calendar and the essence of Lunar New Year.
This project allowed me to celebrate cultural diversity while aligning with IKEA's visual identity, and it was incredibly fulfilling to see my design showcased nationwide.
AANHPI Heritage Month
In 2023 and 2024, I got the opportunity to design the Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month graphics for all stores in the U.S, as well as for IKEA’s social media platforms.

Co-worker Communications
For internal co-worker communications, I have the creative freedom to experiment with playful fonts, vibrant colors, and engaging designs. Below are examples, including the 2022 holiday party poster and the Halloween events poster.
Digital Exit board Graphics
To create anticipation for future events and upcoming collections and offers, I created eye-catching graphics for the digital exit board. Since the exit board is located by the elevators, customers who are waiting can look at the graphics like these to plan for their next trip back to IKEA.
